Primers Dry Concrete

For ease of use we have divided Primers into two groups i.e. those for Dry Concrete and those for Moist Concrete.

Each product carries a very brief description, with the Data Sheet giving detailed technical specification and guides on the use of the product and its application.

EP30

KLB EP 30 is an unfilled, low viscosity and colourless epoxy-resin for producing primers, scratch coats and thick-coat smoothing compounds. EP 30 has excellent adhesion properties, can be highly filled and yet has good application properties. EP 30 has a good, consistent cure and excellent bond to mineral substrates. Broadcasting the surface with quartz sand, 0.3 / 0.8 grade, to provide mechanical bond is highly recommended.

EP50

KLB EP 50is a high quality, solvent-free, 2-component epoxy resin for universal application. EP 50can be used as a primer, scratch-coat or levelling mortar in renovation and new-build work. Due to its low viscosity and good surface wetting properties, the resin penetrates well into the substrate and provides a high strength base for subsequent coating materials.
EP 50has, for many years, been our first recommendation for substrate preparation as it works reliably under all the various construction conditions.

EP 51 RAPID

KLB EP 51 RAPID S is a solvent-free, 2-component epoxy resin that cures at low temperatures and, at normal temperatures, cures rapidly. It is used as a primer and smoothing coat in cases where a fast coating installation is required.
EP 51 RAPID S can usually be over-coated after 2 – 4 hours and has, therefore, a great time advantage over other primers. The use of EP 51 RAPID Soffers considerable time savings in small areas and in renovation work with short installation and setting times.
EP 51 RAPID S cures reliably even at temperatures down to 0°C and this is a considerable advantage in the colder seasons of the year.
